Many people ask, why do rescues charge so much for adoptions?
It's simple - rescues work with dogs that are considered "un-adoptable" by shelters. This means that every animal that enters rescue will need special treatment before it becomes adoptable. The degree of special treatment varies from dog to dog but by charging a flat rate for all dogs, funding that may otherwise been seen as a profit is in turn returned to the rescue for use on other dogs. Special needs include veterinary care, time with a behaviorist, time with a trainer, shelter and board (including all products needs for the daily care - food, blankets, dishes, collars, leashes).
