Ace
We are so happy we added Ace to our Family . After adopting Faith , I wanted another pit bull but my wife and I decided to wait and let Faith adjust and be spoiled . Well I had always thought Ace was special after reading his story . When the time came I wanted Ace . He was available and we set up a meet time . My wife and I went to meet Ace .. Faith was ok with Ace but My wife was unsure of having 2 dogs . After taking a week and learning more about being pack leaders and applying them we got Ace . WOW ! He was the missing piece of our our pack . Faith and Ace are so good for each other and play so awesome together . My wife takes them both for morning walks and I join in the afternoon walks and play time . Ace is a cuddle bug and both him and Faith love to sleep with us . Ace is my boy and loves going with his " pops " to run errands and petsmart ! We are blessed to have Ace in our lives !
Faith
I am writing to let all of you know of a very awesome dog we have recently adopted from Misunderstood Pit Bull Rescue . A few weeks ago our beloved Ginger ( a.k.a. Roo ) passed away . Roo was a member of our family for 10 years . Her death was sudden and shocking and we miss her very much . A day after her passing I went online looking at dog rescues . Roo came from a breeder and we know if we hadn't gotten her she would have been turned into a fighter . Roo lived a very pampered and spoiled life . Which she deserved . After her passing we knew we wanted to help another pit who may not have had a good life . I found the Misunderstood website and started looking at the dogs , even though the pain of just losing my Roo was fresh I knew we had to get another bully . Reading the stories and looking at the pictures made me think about how good Roo had it and how she enjoyed it . Well we found 2 pits we wanted to meet one was Sam and the other was Faith . Faith was older and her story was very sad . I was told that Brindles like her get passed over and that Faith had been with her foster mom for about 8 months . Well we met Faith and that was that . She struck a connection with us and we knew right then she would be the one . Bonnie who was Faith foster was awesome and we know the love she gave Faith really helped Faith adjust to what would become her new family . We picked Faith up on 2/12/09 and since then she has become settled in it's a blessing . She sleeps with us in bed and makes lil' grunts that are so cute . She is so loving and enjoying chasing the furry little creatures we have in our yard . She has brought alot of healing into our lives after our loss and we are blessed to be able to give her a place where she can call home . To Sara / Jennifer / Bonnie and everyone else involved with Misunderstood .. Thank You for all you do.
The Villalpando Family
Cody
I was rescued from a shelter that doesn't adopt out pit bulls by my fantastic mom. She drove over two hours round trip (twice!) to get me. The first time she saw me she had a pretty brindle lady with her, but man, she was bossy! I knew that mom was my only way out of that place so I was on my best behavior and got along with her picky friend very well. She left with her friend and I was still sitting there waiting to leave. Thankfully, about three weeks later, she came back and took me home! When mom took me to adoption events I just laid down and pretended to not be interested in anybody. I think she got the hint! I know she tried to find a good home for me, but I knew I wasn't going anywhere. I had already managed to wiggle my way into their hearts. Mom says the only thing vicious about me is my gas, and I believe her!
Bo
Bo has settled in just wonderfully with my family and our two other dogs. My family has had many dogs over the years but I have never been so attached to a dog until we got Bo. He is so sweet and loves to snuggle! Bo is a lot of fun and loves to go on long runs with me. I am usually more tired than he is after those runs because he has so much energy! Bo loves to entertain and make people laugh and loves everyone that he meets. My family and I are so happy and thankful to have Bo as part of our family.
Rebel
This was taken right after Christmas. So he's only 6 months old.
